Bergeson Gardens to hold open house
Tours of the gardens are at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Live music by the Bergeson family kicks off at 11 a.m. Erickson Smokehouse Catering will serve food 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with proceeds benefitting the Fertile-Beltrami Early Childhood Initiative. Free coffee and doughnuts will be available.
Bergeson Gardens, located on the grounds of Bergeson Nursery, consists of more than 30 large flower beds spread on several acres of grounds.
A new feature at the gardens this year is a rose trial bed that features more than 150 roses of more than 65 different varieties.
The gardens are free and open to the public. Printed guides are available to lead visitors on a self-guided tour of the numbered beds.
The nursery and gift shop are open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Visitors can take the self-guided tour any time during daylight hours.
