Forum no longer is a ‘news’ paper

The Forum, in my opinion, is no longer a newspaper. It is a series of trivial articles. They are a waste of newsprint, ink and the readers’ time.

Recent examples are intoxicated people who order pizza – front page, above the fold, no less – school uniforms as they relate to a store in New Jersey and five ways to use blueberries.

I imagine having plenty of lead time to produce “fluff” articles helps to fill the pages (small, though, they are) and lessens the need to do actual reporting. The fluff articles are completed long before the print time and so there is minimal need to write/re-write up to the deadline.

Please use your journalism training to produce an actual “news” paper.
