Arts community sees it differentlyI don’t think it is good editorial style to generalize about a population of people. The editorial “Bluestem need not sing the blues” contains these words in describing some of the problems that led to Bluestem dissolving: “personality conflicts, turf protection and the toxic style of back-biting that is unique to the arts world.”
I think any endeavor that involves humans has the potential to involve incidences of those qualities and is not unique to the arts world. Those of us involved with the arts community in North Dakota know this.
