Conservative leadership vital

I wonder why North Dakota is in the black. Maybe it’s because of conservative values and Republican leadership in the Legislature and the governor’s office. North Dakota has an opportunity to continue being a world leader in oil and coal exports. In the past few years, our oil and coal have given people jobs, brought money into the state, put us in the black and attracted more and more jobs to North Dakota.

President Barack Obama and the EPA are trying to shut down the North Dakota way. They are introducing extreme regulating policies on industries that are keeping North Dakota No. 1 in the nation. Obama and the EPA are trying to render fracking useless and last year ended the possibility of an oil pipeline that would create jobs and develop a self-sufficient oil supply for this country.

That’s why I stand with Rep. Rick Berg, R-N.D. He will work with Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., in fighting for what’s best for North Dakota.

Bottom line, be very careful whom you vote for, and that means do not vote for Heidi Heitkamp.
