Minot flood recovery fund doles out $4.3M so farMINOT, N.D. — More than a year after flooding along the Souris River in North Dakota, a fund set up to help Minot recover has doled out more than $4.3 million to flood victims.
The Minot Area Recovery Fund flood expense reimbursement process started in mid-November. More than 2,400 households ended up receiving expenses reimbursements.
As the fund focuses more on rebuilding, the organization's board of directors has decided to change the name to the Minot Area Rebuilding Fund.
The Souris River last year swamped more than 4,000 homes and businesses in North Dakota's fourth-largest city.
