UPDATED: Two teens airlifted to Fargo hospital after rollover accidentFARGO – Two 18-year-olds were airlifted to Essentia Health in Fargo following a rollover-type accident in Minnesota’s Polk County early Thursday.
Tyler Johnson of Oklee, Minn., was driving a 2003 Chevy Silverado pickup when he swerved to miss a deer and the vehicle went off the road and rolled, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office stated in a news release.
Johnson and a passenger, Jonathon Foldoe of Gully, Minn., were taken by ambulance to the Essentia Health facility in Fosston, Minn., and then airlifted to the Fargo hospital.
As of about noon Thursday, Johnson was in stable condition. Foldoe was treated and released, an Essentia spokesperson said.
Both were wearing their seat belts, the news release stated.
The accident, which was reported at about 12:48 a.m. on Polk County Road 2 south of Gully, remains under investigation.
