Excellent care in small ND town

One of the hidden wonders of North Dakota is the rural medical center. It’s a subject that rarely surfaces, but last week I was thrust into the scenario that brought that fact to life. I had an unfortunate small accident in a smaller community that required the assistance of the local emergency medical personnel, ambulance and emergency room service plus a night in the local hospital.

I had experienced the Fargo emergency room several times plus the ambulance service, which, of course, rates an A. I honestly have to state that the rural service rated an A+. The care was above what I had experienced.

We should be so thankful that in our small state we still have and can experience the use of these facilities. Hopefully the future generation will support and enable these treasures to flourish.

Do you wonder where this center was? It was in my hometown, the Cooperstown (N.D.) Medical Center.
