Marshals arrest sex offender who lived for months in Fargo without registering

FARGO – A sex offender who lived here for several months has been arrested for allegedly failing to register his address, the US Marshals Service said in a news release.

Police say Jared Lee Holland, 27, a lifetime registrant for a 2003 conviction for second-degree rape in South Dakota, moved to Fargo several months ago and did not register his new address at 2208 25th Ave. S., the news release said.

The US Marshals Service, along with local sheriff deputies, located Holland near Langford, S.D., on Thursday and arrested him without incident, the release said.

He is being held in Aberdeen, South Dakota awaiting extradition proceedings.
