Theatre B sets ‘Good People’ auditionsFARGO – Theatre B is opening its 10th season with “Good People” by David Lindsay-Abaire.
Open auditions will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the theater here at 716 Main Ave. Callbacks will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday.
The play follows Margaret, a recently unemployed single mother, as she struggles to make ends meet. An encounter with her old boyfriend (now a wealthy doctor) forces the pair to examine the gap between the “haves” and the “have-nots.”
Characters include: Margaret: white, about 50; Stevie: white, late 20s; Dottie: white, mid-60s; Jean: white, about 50; Mike: white, about 50; and Kate: African-American, early 30s. The play runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays Sept. 20 through Oct. 13 with one matinee on Oct. 7.
Those auditioning should prepare a one-minute monologue. Auditions will also include some scene work from the show.
