Wichita pitcher shuts down RedHawks' bats

WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita starting pitcher Josh Lowey allowed one run over seven innings to shut down the RedHawks during a 6-1 victory in American Association baseball on Saturday.

Jairo Perez and Gerardo Avila drove in two runs each for the Wingnuts, who stole five bases as a team.

First baseman Marcos Rodriguez drove in the lone run for the RedHawks (37-23).
