Weather Talk: Average temperatures have peaked for year

The average high and low has now peaked for the year. Our average high has been and will be 83 degrees until early August and then start the slow decline through the rest of the year and eventually bottom at 18 degrees in January.

Our average low is now at 60 degrees and will also stay at that point for the rest of the month before it begins the slow fall and will bottom out at -1 degree in January.

This rate of decline for both the average high and low will be very subtle for the next few weeks.

The average high will be at or above 80 degrees until Aug. 26 and the average low will stay at 57 degrees or higher until Aug. 21.

In September you will definitely start to notice a more rapid decline in temperatures. That month the average highs will go from 77 degrees on the 1st to 64 degrees on the 30th and the average lows drop from 53 degrees to just 41 by the end of that month.
