Dave Elliott promoted at Applied Engineering

Dave Elliott has been promoted to engineering technology director of Autodesk software at Applied Engineering, Fargo.

He will also continue with direct sales of Autodesk-related software.

Engineering firm hires three in Fargo office

Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson has hired Ryan Liebl as a computer-aided drafting and design technician, Jake Chapek as a civil engineer with the transportation group and Jackie Buhr as an administrative assistant. All will work in the firm’s Fargo office.

Liebl earned an associate’s degree in mechanical drafting and design and has eight years of experience.

Chapek earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University and is an engineer in training.

Buhr earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Fisher Sales, Leasing hires sales manager

Fisher Sales and Leasing, Fargo, has hired Randy Hovde as sales manager for F.F. Fisher Sales Corp.

Hovde will manage the Fisher sales business and he will be based in Fargo. He has 27 years of experience in the automotive industry in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Matthews-Otwell joins Foster Klima in Fargo

Foster Klima & Co. has hired Robyn R. Matthews-Otwell as a financial representative in its Fargo office.

Most recently, Matthews-Otwell worked with the Mercy HealthCare Foundation as foundation director. She also has experience in financial services as an insurance producer with State Farm.

Originally from Kansas City, Kan., she has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in business from North Dakota State University.

Livingood joins TMI as service technician

Fargo-based TMI Hospitality has hired Brad Livingood as a telecom installation and service technician.

Livingood attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and previously worked as a low-voltage technician at PC Parts/Media Link for seven years.

Phoenix International makes four new hires

Phoenix International, A John Deere Co., Fargo, has hired Chris Dougherty as an industrial engineer, Keith Lajeunesse as a production specialist, Shawn Vasichek as a senior systems engineer and Bradley Welty as a technician II.

Dougherty received an industrial engineering degree from the South Dakota School of Mines Technology, Rapid City, and Vasichek graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in electrical engineering.

Carol Mitchell promoted to warrants case analyst

Carol Mitchell has been promoted to warrants case analyst at the Cass County Sherriff’s Office, Fargo.

She has served with the sheriff’s office since 2002.

Prairie St. John’s promotes Sorenson

Tonya Sorenson has been promoted to chemical dependency director at Prairie St. John’s, Fargo.

Sorenson earned a master’s degree in addiction psychology from Capella University, a bachelor’s degree in sociology and psychology from North Dakota State University and a practical nursing degree from Rochester (Minn.) Community and Technical College.

She has more than 10 years of experience in the addiction field. Before joining Prairie St. John’s, she worked at Mayo Clinic’s outpatient addictions services in Rochester.

Footitt named patient care representative

Tonya Footitt has joined the Family HealthCare Center in Fargo as a patient care representative.

She is a graduate of Valley City (N.D.) State University and Minnesota State Community and Technical College. She has worked in the medical field for 10 years.

Managing partner named at Widmer Roel

Terry Delaney has been named managing partner of Widmer Roel PC, Fargo.

Delaney has 30 years of public accounting experience. He is a graduate of Illinois State University and a member of the North Dakota Society of CPAs, where he has served on the board and is a past president.

Moore Engineering hires 3 in West Fargo office

Moore Engineering has hired Alexa Skjold and Shahad Hasin as graduate engineers, and Hope Zajac as a computer-aided drafting and design technician. All will work in the firm’s West Fargo office.

Skjold is originally from Grand Forks and received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She is working toward a master’s degree in civil engineering.

Hasin received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and a master’s degree in civil engineering from UND. Hasin is a native of Bangladesh.

Zajac, a native of Wahpeton, N.D., received an associate’s degree in land surveying and civil engineering technologies from the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton.

Smart Spaces hires McInnes as designer

Amanda McInnes has joined Smart Spaces, Fargo, as a custom closet designer and director of project operations.

McInnes, originally from Hillsboro, N.D., graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in interior design.

Cornerstone Bank hires one, promotes one

Laura Wickham has joined Cornerstone Bank in Fargo as an operations/project specialist, and Rachel Wagar has been promoted to mortgage opener/shipper/funder.

Wickham has more than 12 years of banking experience, including eight years as an assistant branch manager/member service supervisor.

Wagar has been a teller with Cornerstone Bank in Fargo since 2009.

Edgewood Vista hires nurse manager

Edgewood Vista has named Tess Roppel the enhanced care nurse manager at the senior living community in Fargo.

Roppel is a registered nurse and has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Cloud (Minn.) State University.

She has more than two years of experience in the nursing field, including perioperative nursing and long-term care.

Dr. Lindsay Rogers joins Cornerstone Dental

Dr. Lindsay Rogers has joined Dr. Stacy Goodwill and her team at Cornerstone Dental Group, Fargo.

Rogers earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology at North Dakota State University and a doctor of dental science degree at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

She is also a member of the North Dakota Army National Guard.

Dougherty & Co. hires investment executive

Dougherty & Co., Fargo, has hired Seth Jackson as an investment executive. Jackson has more than eight years of experience in the financial services industry, with an emphasis on retirement income planning.

Jackson graduated from Hamline University, St. Paul, with degrees in finance and economics, and has spent most of his financial career in Minneapolis, where he worked as a financial adviser for U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo.

Houston Engineering hires Chad Helgedalen

Chad Helgedalen has joined Houston Engineering’s Fargo office as corporate marketing coordinator.

Helgedalen is a native of Ulen, Minn., and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications.

He has more than six years of marketing communications experience, specializing in public relations, marketing, graphic design and social media marketing.

Office manager hired at Park Christian School

Park Christian School, Moorhead, has hired Amy King as office manager.

King graduated from Bemidji (Minn.) State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing management.

For the past two years, she was the assistant store manager at Target in Moorhead.

Sheyenne Crossings hires housing manager

Eventide Senior Living Communities, Moorhead, has hired Dawn Vaux as housing manager at Eventide at Sheyenne Crossings, West Fargo.

Vaux graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northern State University, Aberdeen, S.D.

She was previously employed in human resources at Molded Fiberglass, and as vice president of operations at Primrose Senior Living, both in Aberdeen.

Three promoted at Alerus Financial

Alerus Financial has promoted Blaine Anderson to relationship manager at the West Fargo branch on 13th Avenue South, Tim Rensch to lead customer service supervisor of the Fargo and West Fargo branches and Ashley Lipp to customer service supervisor at the Eagle Run location in West Fargo.

Anderson, previously a relationship banker working with small businesses, will now specialize in working with ag customers and commercial businesses. He joined Alerus in 2007 and has 10 years of experience in the financial industry. Anderson received degrees in finance and business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Rensch was previously a customer service supervisor. He joined Alerus in 2008 as a customer service representative. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from North Dakota State University.

Lipp was previously a customer service representative and has been with Alerus since 2008. She has previous management experience including co-manager at Express and assistant manager at The Buckle. She graduated from NDSU with degrees in retail management and business administration.

Borgen joins Coldwell Banker First Realty

Jodi Borgen has joined the residential real estate division at Coldwell Banker First Realty, Fargo.

She was previously affiliated with Prudential Premier Real Estate, Fargo.

Borgen has a bachelor’s degree in education from Minnesota State University Moorhead and was a teacher in Colorado for many years.

Erickson, Olson, Covey hired at Laney’s

Laney’s Inc., Fargo, has hired Jessi Erickson and Miranda Olson as customer service representatives, and Jesse Covey as an equipment operator.

Erickson has a bachelor’s degree in English from Minnesota State University Moorhead and Olson has a background in health care and music.

Covey previously worked for more than 10 years in the landscaping business.


Butler Machinery in Fargo hires Orvik

Butler Machinery Co., Fargo, has hired Paul Orvik as a yard person at its store in Fargo.

Orvik graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, with a degree in diesel equipment technology.

He previously worked in facilities maintenance at Sanford Health.

Linda Johnson has joined Park Co. Mortgage Services in Fargo as a mortgage consultant.

Johnson, a Fargo native, has 12 years of experience in the banking and mortgage industry.

Dr. Samuel Sticka has joined Designer Smiles at 3525 25th St. S., Fargo, as a general dentist.

Sticka, a native of Dickinson, N.D., earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Dickinson State University and a doctor of dental medicine degree from Oregon Health and Science University Dental School


King named Fraser Ltd. food service supervisor

Heidi King has been named food service supervisor with Fraser Ltd., Fargo.

King received a chef training diploma from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead.

Her past work experience includes pastry chef at Sarello’s, Moorhead, and Nichole’s Fine Pastry, Fargo, and assistant cook at Concordia College.


Evolution1 names Deshaies executive VP

Evolution1, Fargo, has named Robert Deshaies as executive vice president.

He has more than 25 years of experience and most recently served as executive vice president of specialty solutions at Sage and vice president of the U.S. Partner group with Microsoft.


Flaten appointed Securian Financial rep

Julie Flaten has been named a representative with Securian Financial Advisors of North Dakota. Her office is located in the First and Farmers Bank in Mayville, N.D.

Flaten is a graduate of North Dakota State University and she has more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry.
