Lidgerwood man jailed in connection with Moorhead burglary, assault

MOORHEAD – A Lidgerwood, N.D., man was arrested Sunday in Wahpeton N.D., on charges of assault, burglary and damage to property in connection with a confrontation at 1311 19th St. S. in Moorhead.

Moorhead officers were called to the scene about 6 a.m. Sunday.

Three males and two females had entered the unlocked residence and confronted a male resident who was supposed to be the ex-boyfriend of one of the females, police reported.

Logan James Kubasta, 21, is accused of kicking in a locked bedroom door and assaulting or fighting with the male victim, police reported.

Kubasta was taken into custody without incident by a Moorhead investigator in Wahpeton and is being held in the Richland County Jail.

He faces potential felony charges of first degree burglary, fourth degree criminal damage to property, fifth degree physical assault, and misdemeanor trespassing, police reported.

Richland County deputies assisted in apprehending Kubasta.
