Heitkamp, Taylor and Gulleson ‘Roughriders’ for North Dakota

Every time I log into Facebook, I notice not the numerous status updates of my friends or messages from pages I’ve “liked,” but the true and unwavering passion of three genuine and lifelong North Dakotans: Heidi Heitkamp, Pam Gulleson and Ryan Taylor.

I’m amazed by the efforts of these three extraordinary people as they criss-cross the Peace Garden State aspiring to talk to every last resident of this great corner of America. They’re not campaigning; they’re on a mission to hear the voices of people often overlooked by the big powers in Washington. Heitkamp, Gulleson and Taylor proudly post photographs of their attendance at parades, participation in town hall meetings, visits to hospitals and tours of family farms and ranches.

Any person who takes a few minutes to peruse these pictures will instantly notice that our former state attorney general and two of our very own hardworking agrarians are committed to bettering the lives of each and every one of the 684,000 people who call this state home.

While other candidates in this election might claim to be advocates of the “North Dakota way,” only three –Heitkamp, Gulleson and Taylor – actually embody the true spirit of the Flickertail State. So I encourage you to pull out your laptop or smartphone and look up these patriots of the prairie. Rest assured – you’ll smile and feel proud to call yourself a North Dakotan and unabashed supporter of three authentic Roughriders, just as I have.
