Uthus selected for artist residency in DenmarkFARGO – North Dakota State University alumna Amy Uthus has been selected for a five-week term as an artist-in-residence at Guldagergaard International Ceramics Research Center in Skælskør, Denmark.
Uthus works primarily in translucent porcelain and light, making sculpture and site-specific installations.
She graduated from NDSU in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in art and English, and she graduated this year with a master of fine arts degree in ceramics from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
Her residency runs from mid-July through the end of August and is supported in part by a professional development grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts and a scholarship from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Ceramics Club.
