Thunderstorms, possibility of hail tonight, Wednesday morning

GRAND FORKS – The National Weather Service here has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of the Red River Valley as scattered thunderstorms and heat advisories roll into the area tonight and through the week.

Thunderstorms are possible tonight after midnight for several eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota counties – including Cass, Clay, Grand Forks, Ramsey, Steele, Traill, Griggs, Otter Tail, Mahnomen, Towner, Becker, Cavalier and Polk.

Large hail and strong wind gusts are possible with these storms, the weather service said.

Scattered thunderstorms are also expected Wednesday morning, with a heat advisory likely, the weather service said.
