Teen driver injured in Becker rolloverBECKER COUNTY, Minn. – A 16-year-old sustained minor injuries after he fell asleep at the wheel and rolled his vehicle on Minnesota Highway 113, the state Highway Patrol said in a release.
Mitchell Bruggers, 16, of Lake Elmo, was driving westbound on Highway 113 just south of Itasca State Park when he fell asleep at the wheel, rolled onto the shoulder and then overcorrected, causing his 1997 Mercury Mountaineer to roll, the patrol said.
His vehicle landed on its roof in the roadway. The road was dry at the time of the incident, around 4:50 p.m., the patrol said.
The incident is still under investigation by the patrol.
