Fargo recycling program to accept more items

FARGO – The city will expand its recycling program to accept more types of plastics and cardboard starting July 1, according to a city news release.

The city’s newly expanded recycling program will accept all plastics with a recycling symbol and the numbers 1 through 7 on the bottom of them, whereas before only numbers 1 or 2 were accepted. Additional cardboard products – such as cereal boxes, soda cases, shoe boxes and corrugated cardboard – will now be accepted as well.

These recyclables will be accepted at all curbside and drop-site locations, the release said.
