Man shoots himself while hunting with handgunWYNDMERE, N.D. – A man accidentally shot himself here Friday night.
Twenty-seven year old Brian Giboney of Wyndmere was hunting north of the city around 8 p.m. He accidentally shot himself in the left index finger with a .22 caliber handgun, according to a press release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.
His family members took him to the St. Francis Healthcare Campus in Breckenridge, Minn. where he was treated for the non-life threatening injury to his finger.
The incident remains under investigation by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and North Dakota Game and Fish Depart-ment.
