First Community Credit Union branches throughout North Dakota recently held fundraisers that collected more than $12,000 for Relay for Life.
All of FCCU’s 14 branches participated in fundraisers, including pizza and bake sales, luncheons and barbecues, silent auctions, contests and luminary sales.
Crisis center awarded $3K foundation grant
The Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation has awarded $3,000 to the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center in Fargo through its annual community grant round.
The award will provide safety and security technology upgrades at the center.
Fargo New Life Center receives DMF grant
The New Life Center, Fargo, has received a $1,500 grant from Dakota Medical Foundation, Fargo.
The funds will assist in the operations of the homeless shelter.
Youth club receives $8K grant from Taco Bell
The Boys & Girls Club of the Red River Valley/Youth Commission has received an $8,070 grant from the Taco Bell Foundation to assist in the recruitment and implementation of the Keystone Club for Teens.
The club is a leadership development experience for youth ages 14 to 18.
Foundation earns grant for children’s program
The North Dakota Caring Foundation has been awarded $2,000 from the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation through its annual community grant round.
The award will help support the Caring for Children program, which provides access to medical, dental and mental health services to children from working families who do not qualify for government-funded programs and cannot afford private insurance.
Crisis center awarded Stern family grant
The Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, Fargo, has received a $5,000 grant from the Alex Stern Family Foundation.
The grant will support a two-day conference for mental health professionals in the community who work with males affected by sexual abuse.
Hugo’s program raises funds for Red Cross
The Minn-Kota Region of the American Red Cross has received a $23,408 donation from Hugo’s Family Marketplace, Grand Forks. The money was raised through a corporate support and customer giving program held in April.
The funds will help the Red Cross support emergency programs and mission-related services.
