Mayors proclaim June Homeownership MonthFARGO – The mayors of Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead and Dilworth have proclaimed June as Homeownership Month.
The proclamation was made Tuesday by Fargo Mayor Dennis Walaker, West Fargo Mayor Rich Mattern, Moorhead Mayor Mark Voxland and Dilworth Mayor Chad Olson.
The proclamation was made at 902 27th St. N. in Fargo, the site of a Home Builders Care Build for Habitat project, a partnership project involving the Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead, its charity arm, the Home Builders Care Foundation, and Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity.
The focus of National Homeownership Month is to recognize efforts to strengthen communities by giving families information to help them attain their dreams of homeownership.
Fargo and Moorhead offer homebuyer education classes through The Village Family Service Center. Individuals participating in education seminars may be eligible for down-payment assistance depending on income.
