MANDAN, N.D. — Police in Mandan say they have closed the investigation into the slaying of a local woman.

The Mandan Police Department says the person responsible for killing Gloria Schmidt-Lozensky on April 20 was Robert Mitchell. Mitchell was found dead two days later.

Schmidt-Lozensky was found dead of multiple stab wounds. Mitchell was found dead at a Morton County home two days later.
