Choice Financial’s Junior Bank Board, Fargo, has donated $875 to various individuals and community organizations, including the Davies DECA program and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Hospice awarded grant for Journeys library
Hospice of the Red River Valley, Fargo, has been awarded a $2,775 grant from the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation.
The funds will be used to purchase new and updated resources for Hospice’s Journeys Program Resource Library, which contains books, CDs, DVDs, tapes, newsletters and other resources related to end-of-life and grief.
Local MDA motorcycle run raises $6,900
The annual Independent Bikers Muscular Dystrophy Association Motorcycle Run on June 9 in Fargo raised $6,900 for the MDA.
More than 300 people participated in the run, which included over 200 motorcycles.
The money will help local individuals and families affected by muscular dystrophy-related diseases through clinics, support groups and sending children to Camp Courage in Maple Lake, Minn.
Clay County family program receives grant
The Clay County Collaborative has been awarded $2,500 from the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation through its annual community grant round.
The award supports programs for families in Clay County with complex mental and physical health needs.
Ronald McDonald House Charities receives grant
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Red River Valley has been awarded $2,500 from the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation through its annual community grant round.
The award supports the Share-A-Night program that helps cover room fees for families who are unable to pay.
