Western State Bank, West Fargo, has hired Keri Hushagen as a mortgage loan processor in the real estate department and Kelly Edgar as a loan administrative assistant. Sheila Foertsch has been promoted to cash management officer.
Hushagen has more than nine years of experience in processing loans. Originally from Rugby, N.D., Hushagen earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Edgar has 10 years of banking experience. Originally from Warren, Minn., she graduated from MSUM with a paralegal degree.
Foertsch has been with Western State Bank since 2008 and was previously business banking assistant supervisor. A native of Mantador, N.D., she earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Northern State University, Aberdeen, S.D.
Mehl hired as assistant at Design Direction
Design Direction, Fargo, has hired Christina Mehl as a design assistant.
She is a graduate of Westwood College, Denver, with a bachelor’s degree in interior design.
Miller hired in sales at Fargo Tire Service
Fargo Tire Service has hired Jason Miller as a salesman at the Main Avenue location.
Miller has more than 16 years of sales experience.
Five new hires at Discovery Benefits
Discovery Benefits in Fargo has hired Ashley Leines as a participant services specialist, Becki Bauer and Alex Johnson as benefit account managers, Jake Starkey as a marketing coordinator and Lindsey Gibbs as a claims adjudicator.
Four new hires at RDO field support office
RDO Equipment Co., Fargo, has hired Christy Gustafson and Emily Pruss as human resources generalists, Ross Lockhart as internal audit manager and Matt Motzko as financial planning and analysis director.
All will be working in the Fargo field support office.
Gustafson has an associate degree in human resources and has more than 16 years of HR and operations management experience in Fargo and the Minneapolis area, most recently as operations manager at The Bridal Shop, Fargo.
Pruss earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She previously worked as an HR manager and lead client support representative with Pen-Link, Lincoln.
Lockhart has a bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a master’s degree from the University of Kent, United Kingdom. He was previously a senior consultant at Sjoberg Evashenk Consulting for more than three years before working for the state of California as a staff services manager in 2009.
Motzko has more than 10 years of experience as a senior financial analyst role. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He was most recently senior financial analyst for The Mosaic Co.
Northwestern Bank hires Mercil, Kahly
Northwestern Bank has hired Amy Mercil as a customer service representative at the Hendrum Minn., location and Heather Kahly as a customer service representatives at the Dilworth location.
Devier named fiduciary adviser, assistant VP
Wells Fargo Private Bank has named Wendy Devier fiduciary advisory specialist and assistant vice president for Fargo, Bismarck and western North Dakota.
Devier previously worked for seven years at Bank of the West as a senior trust officer and assistant vice president. She also worked for seven years as an operations manager at Heartland Trust Co.
She has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
VISIONBank promotes Simonson, Surprenant
VISIONBank has promoted Kelli Simonson to senior vice president and Jana Surprenant to an operations systems specialist.
Simonson is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead and has been with VISIONBank for the past seven years.
Surprenant has been with VISIONBank for the past eight years.

Benz joins Salon Three Five in downtown Fargo
Chloe Benz has joined Salon Three Five, 222 Broadway, Fargo.
She is a graduate of Fargo North High School and Josef’s School of Hair Design, Fargo.
Salon Three Five is owned by Chloe’s father, Ryan Benz, who has been in the hairdressing business for more than 38 years.
He opened the salon, formerly known as Hairscape Gallery, in 2011 after working independently as a hair- stylist for 12 years and as a color technician for Redken and Goldwell.

Karin Andersson has been hired as a quality assurance lead at Intelligent In-Sites, Fargo.
She pre-viously worked for NAU County Insurance in Fargo as an analyst and supervisor.
Andersson has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and completed a management information systems concentration at North Dakota State University.

Chaffee hired, Frost promoted at State Bank
State Bank and Trust, Fargo, has hired Patrick Chaffee as senior vice president and chief strategy officer. Josh Frost has been promoted to personal banking officer.
Chaffee, originally from Northwood, N.D., is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. He worked for 10 years in the financial services and insurance industries as a senior manager with Eide Bailly, Fargo, and Ernst & Young, Minneapolis. He also was a senior finance adviser with AE2S.
Frost, a native of West Fargo, graduated from North Dakota State University. He has worked at State Bank and Trust for 11 years.

Connell-Rick has more than 15 years of HR experience in the manufacturing, banking and health care industries, most recently as vice president of HR at Essentia Health. Butler names Leedahl Fargo service manager

Leedahl worked as a fleet driver for Marten Transportation, Mondovi, Wis., and most recently was a service manager at RSC Equipment Rental, Williston, N.D.
Odedra-Mistry joins IMA Healthcare in Fargo
Dr. Bhanu Odedra-Mistry has joined Internal Medicine Associates Healthcare, Fargo.
Odedra-Mistry earned a medical degree at MR Medical College, Gulbarga, Karnataka, India, and a diploma in internal medicine from Royal Postgraduate Medical School, London.
She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, before joining MeritCare (now Sanford Health) as a staff physician in the internal medicine department.
