Benefit set for family of late cancer patientFARGO – There will be a benefit for the family of a man who was diagnosed with liver cancer from 5 to 9 p.m. June 21 in El Zagal Shrine Center.
Bill Anderson was diagnosed with liver cancer in the fall of 2010. He underwent radiation and chemotherapy treatments, but died June 8. The proceeds will help the family with medical expenses.
The event and silent auction is free, but raffle tickets can be purchased for $10 each. The top three prizes are Callaway RAZR golf clubs, an HP 4530S laptop computer and a 50-inch Panasonic plasma TV, a release stated.
Dakota Medical Foundation Lend a Hand will provide up to $5,000 in matching funds. Thrivent Financial is donating $1,000.
