West Acres marks comings and goingsFARGO – Two stores and a mall service are relocating within West Acres, and the shopping center is getting one new business and losing one longtime occupant.
The newcomer is Best Buy Mobile, a mobile phone store, which is expected to open in December in space now occupied by Journey Shoes.
Journeys Shoes is heading to the spaces now occupied by Guest Services and Things Remembered.
Guest Services is moving to the west porch of the food court adjacent to Talbots.
Things Remembered is relocating to the space now occupied by Classic Jewelers, which is leaving the mall at the end of June.
Classic Jewelers, which has been in West Acres since 1990, is moving to a strip mall at 4302 13th Ave. S., in space previously occupied by Rheault & Friends Salon Spa.
“We are excited about the upcoming changes,” said Alissa Sorum, West Acres marketing director.
“Best Buy Mobile will be a great addition to the center, and Journeys will be able to bring a wider selection of merchandise to customers in their new, larger location,” she said.
As part of the moving of Guest Services, West Acres is adding SmarteWheels, featuring single- and double-stroller stations throughout the shopping center.
Sorum said the mall often receives requests for more stroller locations, and Smarte Wheels will allow guests to rent and return strollers at various places.
