Fugitive Focus: Ryan Christopher Gill

Local and federal authorities look to apprehend a 22-year-old Grafton, N.D., man who is wanted for violating probation on a Cass County drug conviction.

Ryan Christopher Gill pleaded guilty in 2011 to two Class C felony charges: possessing synthetic marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Court records show he was sentenced to serve one year in prison, with 270 days suspended. He was given credit for 95 days served in jail.

Gill also was placed on supervised probation through October of 2012.

In May, Cass County prosecutors filed a petition to revoke Gill’s probation on the grounds that he violated the terms of his release. A bench warrant was issued May 31.

Gill also has a recent warrant for his arrest in Walsh County in northeast North Dakota, where he allegedly violated his probation on other crimes.

Gill was convicted there in 2008 on four counts of burglary, each a Class C felony.

More recently, in January, Cass County court records show Gill was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

He also has another open drug case in Cass County, in which he is charged with two other Class C felonies for possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia. He’s scheduled for a jury trial in July.
