Felton gets $1.2 million for waste treatment

FELTON, Minn. – Felton has been selected to receive more than $1.2 million to replace its wastewater treatment system, according to USDA Rural Development State Director Colleen Landkamer.

This funding comes from a $611,000 loan and a $651,000 grant.

Felton’s current treatment system is more than 46 years old and no longer meets the community’s needs, a news release says.

The new system will be an 8.5-acre three-cell pond.
