The Therapy Center at Essentia Health St. Mary’s, Detroit Lakes, Minn., has partnered with Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare to provide assistive technology services to patients in the Detroit Lakes area.
Gillette workers come to the Therapy Center monthly to see patients. The Assistive Technology Clinic is scheduled every three months, but will be available more frequently if needed.
Assistive technology provides assistive, adaptive and rehabilitative devices for people with disabilities and also includes developing processes to use the equipment.

Dakota Specialty Milling acquires CHP Blenders
Dakota Specialty Milling, Fargo, has acquired CHP Blenders, a supplier and blender of dry-food ingredients from the International Companies Inc., St. Louis. CHP Blenders will continue to operate in St. Louis under the new name Dakota Blenders LLC.
“This acquisition will expand our food ingredient blending opportunities and provide us with entry into sweet goods and concentrates for the first time,” R.C. Axlund, president of Dakota Specialty Milling, stated in a news release.
Better Business Bureau luncheon set June 27
The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota will host a Centennial Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 27 at the North Dakota State University Alumni Center, Fargo.
The luncheon will recognize companies that have been in business for over 100 years, as well as BBB-accredited businesses in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem will be the keynote speaker.
Preceding the luncheon, there will be a relocation ribbon-cutting ceremony at the BBB’s new offices on the second floor of the Wells Fargo building at 406 Main Ave., Fargo.

Arise Home Health Care opens Fargo office
Arise Home Health Care has opened an office at 4325 13th Ave. S., Fargo. Kerry Berg has been hired as Fargo area manager.
Berg has worked in health care for over six years and has a degree in mass communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
The business is owned by Jay and Melody Vachal of St. Cloud, Minn., where they have also operated an office since 2000.
Services offered include companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, errands, transportation, medication reminders and assistance with exercises and personal care.
They serve clients in private homes, nursing homes and hospitals 24 hours a day, seven days a week within a 60 mile radius of Fargo-Moorhead.
