Weekend Watch: Hawley Rodeo Fest
The weeklong Rodeo Fest in Hawley, Minn., kicks it up heading into the weekend. The Boy Scouts serve up a pitchfork steak fondue from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Hawley Community Center for $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
But the real meat of the weekend is the PRCA Rodeo, which jumps out of the chute at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday night.
Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the gate and $5 for ages 4 to 12. Saturday also includes a 9 a.m. horseshoe tournament in Riverbend Park; a 5K run/walk at 9 a.m. starting at Hawley High School; a classic car and motorcycle show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the Jaycee’s Beef Feed, at the City Hall parking lot, from noon to 4 p.m.; the Rodeo Fest Parade, on Sixth Street at 3 p.m. and more.
