ND PSC is supposed to be neutral arbiterI find it very disturbing that North Dakota Public Service Commissioner Kevin Cramer does not understand why some people are upset about the contributions he received from a coal company that he has to make a decision for their permit (Forum, June 5).
The PSC is supposed to act in a neutral manner on these permit requests. In his letter to the editor, he more or less admitted to being “supportive” to coal development. Would he feel the same way if he were being sued, and the judge was up for re-election received a large donation from the person who sued him?
There are many things that are completely legal but still morally wrong. I think this is one of those cases.
