Steve Sprague for Cass boardCass County Commission candidate Steve Sprague was an active hockey parent when I was a volunteer coach for his son Andy’s team a decade ago. Andy finished high school at Fargo North while I finished a doctorate at North Dakota State University and commanded the Military Entrance Processing Station. After getting to know them through hockey, I was honored to attend Andy’s Eagle Scout ceremony and met with the Sprague family to discuss Andy’s career plans in the United States Marine Corps.
After Andy signed up to join the USMC during his junior year, it was another great honor for me to swear him into active duty. I celebrated with his parents when we welcomed Andy back to the U.S. after a year of service to our country in Afghanistan.
Steve has taught his sons the value of hard work and integrity; he has been involved in scouting and has spent plenty of time on the ice as a hockey official for more than 10 years. I encourage you to support Steve Sprague as your next Cass County commissioner. He is devoted to his family and community and will stand up for what is right.
