Discovery Benefits in Fargo has hired Becca Schrupp as a COBRA account manager, Corey Davidson as a benefits operations manager, Jennifer Qual as a COBRA consolidated billing specialist and Jill Hegland as financial controller.
Phoenix International hires supply specialist
Keith Vollbrecht has been hired at Phoenix International A John Deere Co., Fargo, as a supply management specialist.
He is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Boys & Girls Club promotes one, hires one
Alicia Waldoch has been promoted to director of communications and charitable gaming at the Boys & Girls Club of the Red River Valley/Youth Commission and Ashley Crawford has been hired as club coordinator.
Waldoch is originally from Maple Grove, Minn., and majored in sales and marketing at North Hennepin Community College. She has more than 12 years of marketing and gaming experience.
Crawford has previous experience working for a Boys & Girls Club in North Carolina. She is a senior at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where she is pursuing a degree in social work.
Three new hires at American Crystal
Patrick Fiebiger and Vernon Smith have joined American Crystal Sugar Co. as assistant packaging and warehouse supervisors, and Patrick Rein has joined the company as an environmental compliance supervisor at the Moorhead factory.
Smith has a managerial background and will work in the Moorhead facility.
Fiebiger’s prior experience includes renewable energy and he will work at the facility in Hillsboro, N.D.
Rein has a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mary. He has more than 13 years of environmental affairs experience.
Baltes promoted at Border States
Border States Electric, Fargo, has named David Baltes supply chain services operations manager.
Baltes has been with Border States since 1999. He has worked in the warehouse and drove a delivery truck, and has also held the positions of supply chain service reporting specialist, supply chain services quality auditor and most recently supply chain service supervisor.
Rhea Goffe promoted at Rasmussen College
Rasmussen College has promoted Rhea Goffe to professional education director of the Fargo and Moorhead campuses. She has been with Rasmussen College since 2010.
Goffe received a bachelor degree in English and mass communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead with an emphasis in creative writing, advertising and public relations.
Engineering firm hires four in Fargo office
Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson, an engineering, surveying and planning firm, has hired Toby Anvik and Matt Deardoff as civil engineers and Bruce Hackey and Matt Wallace as right-of-way specialists. All will work in the firm’s Fargo office.
Anvik earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University and is an engineer in training. He has more than four years of consulting experience.
Deardoff earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City.
Hackey earned a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in educational administration from NDSU. He has 31 years of academic leadership experience.
Wallace earned a bachelor’s degree in sports and urban turfgrass management from NDSU. He has more than eight years of management experience.
Werner, Zeien join TMI Hospitality in Fargo
Fargo-based TMI Hospitality has hired Chelsea Werner as a payroll processor and Terri Zeien as a payroll clerk.
Werner previously worked for Granite City Staffing, St. Cloud, Minn. She earned a legal administrative assistant degree from Anoka-Hennepin (Minn.) Technical College and an associate degree from Ridgewater Community College, Willmar, Minn.
Zeien attended Alexandria (Minn.) Technical College and received a nursing degree from the College of St. Catherine, Minneapolis. She worked in nursing and banking in Chicago for several years then worked as a credit assistant at Aspen Equipment, Bloomington, Minn. She most recently was employed by Perkins, Fargo.
702 Communications hires Emily Kasprowicz
Emily Kasprowicz has joined the sales team at 702 Communications, Moorhead.
Kasprowicz previously worked for five years with the Moorhead School District.
Starion promotes Staller, Thomas
Dan Staller has been promoted to president of the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo market for Starion Financial. Executive Vice President Jeff Thomas will supervise overall business banking operations for Starion.
Staller joined Starion Financial in 2008. He was promoted to a supervisory role with the Fargo business banking team last spring. He has 16 years of banking experience as a credit analyst, commercial lender and manager in North Dakota and Minnesota. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Thomas will oversee business banking in all nine markets where Starion operates in North Dakota and Wisconsin. He was the first Fargo market president for Starion, joining the company when it expanded into the community in 2008. He has more than 24 years of local banking experience. Prior to joining Starion, Thomas was a regional retail banking president of North Dakota and northwest Minnesota as well as a bank president in Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
The Village Business Institute hires therapist
The Village Business Institute of The Village Family Service Center, Fargo, has hired therapist Tim Kresien.
He graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead and earned a master’s degree in social work at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
Kresien previously worked as a corrections agent in Minnesota and was a counselor to members of 10 First Nations in Fort Frances/Rainy River District Northwest in Ontario, Canada.
Knutson promoted to senior credit analyst
VISIONBank, Fargo, has promoted Heather Knutson to senior credit analyst.
Knutson is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead and has been with VISIONBank for four years.
Hospice of RRV hires Wolff as staff physician
Hospice of the Red River Valley has hired Dr. Terry Wolff as a hospice staff physician.
Wolff previously practiced family practice, occupational and preventive medicine at clinics in the Fargo area.
He received a medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
SRF Consulting in Fargo hires Michael Maddox
Michael Maddox has joined SRF Consulting Group, Fargo, as a transportation and community planner.
He was previously employed by the Rockford (Ill.) Metropolitan Agency for Planning and has experience in numerous planning areas including comprehensive, urban, corridor and transit.
