ND oil revenue can fund programsNorth Dakota is bringing in more than $1.5 trillion in tax a year from oil revenue. That’s more than enough to pay for schools, police, fire and road repairs.
There are 42 gallons of gas in a barrel, of which only 19 gallons is left after processing. What’s not processed is used for other products. Nearly 11 million gallons of finished, refined gas a day is coming out of the ground. More than 24 million gallons of crude oil a day is pumped out of North Dakota in a day.
It is time to give the people and property owners a break. Do not build a pipeline. Process the oil here and ship to the Midwest states to help hold down the cost at the pump.
