Weekend Watch: Jonathan Richman
On stage Jonathan Richman resembles a startled child, with his eyes wide open, staring out over the crowd. But after over 40 years recording and touring, the singer/songwriter is an elder statesman of rock. The proto-punk made noise with the cult classic “Roadrunner” in 1972 (most notably covered by Joan Jett) and hasn’t stopped, with his 25th album, “O Moon, Queen of Night on Earth,” released in 2010. Richman brings his acoustic set to The Aquarium, 226 Broadway, Fargo, at 9 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 the day of the show. (866) 300-8300.
