Moorhead police investigate Sunday stabbing of 17-year-old outside Stop-N-GoMOORHEAD – Police here are investigating an incident on Sunday night between two 17-year-old juveniles that left the victim with a stab wound on his leg.
According to a search warrant filed Wednesday in Clay County District Court, the 17-year-old victim was confronted by the suspect inside the Stop-N-Go store located at 1702 30th Ave. S. in Moorhead shortly before 11 p.m.
A witness, who later identified the suspect, told police that the two then went outside the store and scuffled for several moments before the suspect ran away, stabbing the victim in the leg in the process, according to the search warrant.
The victim, who required only minor care for his injury, told police he had never seen the suspect before.
Charges in the case are pending.
