VIDEO: Moorhead woman accused of DUI after running over man

FARGO – Police here say an accident over the holiday weekend shows how dangerous it can be to drink and drive.

Kassandra Lofgren, 28, of Moorhead, was arrested on suspicion of DUI after police said she ran someone over with her car.

Police said the incident happened early Monday at The Windbreak just after bar close. They say Lofgren got into a verbal, then physical fight with another woman and the two were separated.

A short time later Lofgren was leaving and backed up her car, hitting a man with her side mirror.

The impact caused the man to fall over, and she ran over his leg with her car.

“Anytime you have a motor vehicle running over an individual, especially over a cement surface, you are going to have some serious injuries,” said Fargo police Lt. Joel Vettel.

Police said Lofgren could face assault charges, plus charges for running over the man’s leg. It’s her second DUI charge in four months.
