Fargo Gate City Bank branches promote 3

Gate City Bank has promoted Kristi Persons to office manager at the branch at 3100 25th St. S., Brady Duffy to personal banking supervisor at the branch at Hornbacher’s, 1532 32nd Ave. S., and Justin Dunn to personal banking supervisor at the branch at 1501 S. University Drive, all in Fargo.

Persons earned a bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has been employed at Gate City Bank for 10 years as a personal banking supervisor.

Duffy earned a business administration degree from Valley City (N.D.) State University and he has been employed as a customer service representative at Gate City for nine years.

Dunn has a bachelor’s degree in finance from MSUM and has been employed at Gate City as a customer service representative for four years.

ND banking group hires new executive VP

Independent Community Banks of North Dakota has hired John A. Brown as executive vice president.

Brown graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He started his 36-year banking career with Security State Bank, Hannaford, N.D.

He has been involved in ICBND for many years, serving as association president in 1985.

Houston Engineering hires Eskro, Kalberer

Thomas Eskro has joined Houston Engineering’s Fargo office as civil engineer in the water resources department. Aaron Kalberer has joined the firm in Fargo as a computer-aided drafting and design technician.

Eskro is a native of Andover, Minn., and graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He had previous internships with the Anoka County (Minn.) Highway Department and Bolton & Menk Inc.

Kalberer is originally from Detroit Lakes, Minn., and graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Detroit Lakes, with an associate degree in civil technology.

Two new physicians join Essentia Health clinic

Dr. Jon Graham has joined the otolaryngology department and Dr. Praveen Kumar has joined the pediatric department, both at Essentia Health’s clinic on South University Drive in Fargo.

Graham, who will also provide services to the Detroit Lakes and Park Rapids, Minn., clinics, received a medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed two years of general surgery training at Maryland General Hospital, Baltimore. He has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of otolaryngology and head and neck surgery, and his areas of focus include otology and facial cosmetic surgery.

Kumar received a medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine Elmhurst Hospital, New York City. As a pediatrician, Kumar focuses on pediatric orthopedics and sports injuries, in addition to general wellness in children.

Wald named marketing manager at BCBSND

Gregory Wald has been promoted to manager of marketing communications at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, Fargo.

He joined BCBSND in March as interactive content coordinator. He worked in advertising, higher education and state government before joining Noridian. In those positions, he specialized in branding, strategic planning, advertising, market research and consulting.

Wald grew up and graduated from high school in Strasburg, N.D. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and history/political science from Concordia College and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

Farm Service Agency promotes Olson, Blegen

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency in Fargo has promoted Brad Olson to agricultural program specialist for the conservation division and Michelle Blegen to administrative specialist.

Olson graduated from North Dakota State University and has worked for the Farm Service Agency for 29 years.

Blegen has worked for the agency in farm loan programs for 13 years.

Cloud 9 Salon and Spa hires Opp as stylist

Cloud 9 Salon and Spa, 3330 Sheyenne St., West Fargo, has hired Chelsey Opp as a stylist.

Opp graduated from The Salon Professional Academy and previously worked at Rheault and Friends, both in Fargo.

Intelligent InSites hires technical writer

Charles Hendrickson has been hired as a technical writer at Intelligent InSites, Fargo.

He pre-viously worked for Harland Fi-nancial Ser-vices and Cargill.

Hendrickson has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary, Bismarck, and a bachelor’s degree in English writing and political science from Concordia College.

Fiebiger, Swanson and West hires Thompson

Megan Thompson has joined Fiebiger, Swanson, West & Co. as an accounting technician in the firm’s small business department in the Moorhead office.

She graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, with an accounting diploma.

Thompson specializes in small business accounting and payroll.

Catholic Charities adds to counseling staff

Lorraine Lubka has been hired by Catholic Charities as a counselor in the Fargo office.

Lubka received a master’s degree in child development and family science from North Dakota State University. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and has more than 20 years of clinical experience working with families, individuals and couples.

She previously worked with adolescents at Luther Hall Residential Treatment Center, Fargo, and provided intensive in-home therapy for families through Lutheran Social Services. She has also served as an alcohol and drug outreach counselor.

Five new employees at Discovery Benefits

Discovery Benefits has hired Cortney Feickert, Kari Lee, Jaclyn Luthi and Tyler Schmautz as participant services specialists, and Denise Sumerfelt as a consumer services specialist.

Hannah Sorensen joins Thrivent Financial

Hannah Sorensen has joined Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in Fargo as a financial representative.

Sorensen previously worked at Legacy Wealth Management, Shultz and Associates and LUXE. She graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration.

Lewis has 18 years of experience with Northwest Truck and Trailer in Fargo, where he was previously the service adviser.

Dawson hires Graveline as claims advocate

Jill Graveline has joined Dawson Insurance, Fargo, as a claims advocate.

Graveline is a graduate of North Dakota State University and she has more than 14 years of experience in the insurance industry and was previously a fire claim adjuster for State Farm Insurance.

Coleman Wagner has joined Houston Engineering’s Fargo office as a civil engineer working in the structural and transportation service sectors.

He is a native of Moorhead and graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Wagner previously interned for two years with the city of Moorhead Engineering Department.

Eyes on 43rd adds Archibald to staff

Dr. Stacey Archibald has joined Eyes on 43rd in Fargo.

She graduated from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Before moving to Fargo, she practiced in a clinic in southern Ontario.

Archibald has a special interest in children’s vision and treating dry eye disease.

Medora Foundation hires marketing director

Suzanne Wentz has been hired as the marketing director for the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation.

Wentz has more than 15 years of experience in sales, business de-velopment, management and strategic planning.

Most recently she was president and chief executive officer at Odyssey Research, Bismarck. Wentz has a bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University.

Anna Tinkham joins Keller Williams as agent

Anna Tinkham has joined Keller Williams Roers Realty Market Center as a real estate agent.

She grew up in Fisher, Minn., and received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Concordia College. She is also employed at Discovery Benefits, Fargo.

TMI Hospitality hires Fischburg, Stoelting

TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Scott Fischburg as vice president of sales and marketing and Justin Stoelting as project coordinator.

Fischburg is a graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Business and the University of Michigan’s hotel and motel hospitality program. He joins the company from Graves World Hospitality, Minneapolis, where he served as vice president of sales and marketing.

Stoelting earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from North Dakota State University and an associate’s degree in aviation maintenance technology from the Community College of the Air Force. He was previously employed as a field engineer at Aevenia, Moorhead. He has also been a member of the North Dakota Air National Guard since 2003, working as a jet aircraft mechanic.

Ulteig’s Fargo office hires four employees

Ulteig in Fargo has hired Adam Diemert as a graduate engineer, John Lane as a senior engineer and Prabha Mangasuli as a graduate engineer. Dane Swartz has joined the firm’s protection and control group.

Diemert graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He previously worked as an engineering intern for Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems.

Lane earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Oklahoma State University. He previously worked for Electric Power Services as a consulting engineer.

Mangasuli earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Government College of Engineering in India. She previously worked for the Indian Institute of Science for three years as a project assistant.

Swartz is attending NDSU where he is studying electrical engineering and mathematics.

Fargo Hilton Garden Inn hires sales manager

Kristine Wagner has joined the Hilton Garden Inn, Fargo, as a sales manager in the sales and events department.

Wagner graduated from North Dakota State University with degrees in hospitality and tourism management, and business administration. She has more than seven years of experience in the industry.

She was employed for the past five years in the sales department at the Courtyard by Marriott, Moorhead.

Sue Hapala promoted to business manager

Wild and Associates, Fargo, has promoted Sue Hapala to business manager.

She has worked for the company for seven years and has more than 15 years of business management experience.

Hapala is a native of Moorhead and graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in business administration.
