Assistant principal hired for Fargo North

FARGO – Travis Christensen has been named assistant principal and activities coordinator for North High School for the 2012-13 school year, the Fargo School District has announced.

Christen-sen has been a social studies teacher and assistant football coach at North High since 2008. He also coached girls basketball for two years as an assistant.

He will replace Troy Cody, the outgoing assistant principal and activities coordinator, who will become principal of Davies High School on July 1.

Christensen is an alumnus of Concordia College.

He began his education career in 2005 as a social studies teacher with Ulen-Hitterdal (Minn.) Public Schools, where he also was the head football coach and an assistant basketball coach. He taught social studies and coached football at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton for a year before coming to the Fargo School District.
