Warrant issued for man in Williston shooting

WILLISTON, N.D. — Authorities investigating the shooting of a Boise, Idaho, man in the North Dakota oil patch city of Williston have issued an arrest warrant for another Boise man.

Police Detective David Peterson says that 37-year-old William Owens is wanted on a charge of attempted murder. Peterson says authorities believe Owens has left the area.

He is wanted in the May 10 shooting of 25-year-old Kenneth Moore Jr. Police say Moore was shot multiple times while sitting in a vehicle and is still recovering from his injuries.

Peterson declined to provide details on any relationship between Moore and Owens or discuss a possible motive.
