4-year-old boy critical after St. Paul hit-and-runST. PAUL – A 4-year-old boy is still hospitalized in critical condition after he was hit by a motorcyclist who sped away.
A spokeswoman with Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare says Tyrell Baymon remains critical Sunday.
His uncle, Dennis Scroggins, says the boy had a skull fracture that required immediate surgery. Scroggins says the boy is sedated and receiving breathing assistance.
Police say Tyrell was on his way to his birthday party when he was hit Saturday afternoon. He was holding his mom’s hand when a motorcyclist – speeding and doing wheelies – hit him, then sped away.
Police received many leads but are still searching for the driver of a royal blue sport bike, with likely front-end damage.
