Thank you from heart associationI would like to extend a huge thank-you to the attendees, sponsors, donors and volunteers who contributed to the 20th annual square dance Dance for Heart event held on April 29 at the Waubun, (Minn.) Community Center. This event raised nearly $3,000 to help fight heart disease and stroke.
Thank you to Duane Olson, Bob and Dorothy Hoover, Sherry Zweerink and Roger and Bernadette McNeil for co-chairing the event.
Thank you to the Detroit Lakes Independent Order of Odd Fellows, GFWC Library Club, Mahnomen, Arvig Communications and the many other silent auction donors.
And a very special thank- you to the Square Dance Federation of Minnesota – Northwest Region for creating awareness and hosting such a terrific event.
Funds generated from the Dance for Heart event will support the American Heart Association’s mission to build healthier lives, free from cardiovascular disease and stroke. The American Heart Association funds cardiovascular disease research to improve the lives of men, women and children all over North Dakota and Minnesota. In the past five years, the American Heart Association has allocated over $17 million for research studies in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Thank you again to the community, attendees, sponsors, donors and volunteers. You truly are the Heart Heroes.
