Fargo man pleads not guilty to stabbing

GRAND FORKS - A Fargo man accused of stabbing a Grand Forks man twice in the leg pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Grand Forks County District Court.

Randall Kareem Marshall, 36, was charged with aggravated assault after the alleged victim Dustin Keplin and his girlfriend gave police a description of the suspect and his vehicle.

The vehicle was tracked back to Marshall’s wife, who said she was out of town when the incident occurred on March 7.

Keplin, who has had three surgeries on his leg since the stabbing, was later able to pick Marshall out of a photo lineup.

Aggravated assault is a Class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Marshall is scheduled for a pretrial conference on July 5.
