Garage fire causes heavy damage in north FargoFARGO – The cause of a fire here that caused roughly $60,000 in damage has not yet been deter-mined.
Fargo Fire responded to a six-unit garage fire at 4:03 p.m. today.
Crews arrived at 825 14th St. N. and saw heavy smoke coming from the entire building.
The three center garage stalls were on fire and were heavily damaged. Power saws had to be used to cut through locked overhead doors but the fire was under control about 15 minutes after firefighters arrived.
It took about three hours to investigate the fire and go through the building to ensure all smoldering areas were extinguished, said a news release from the fire department.
Investigators were unable to positively determine a cause for the fire. Dam-age is estimated to be $60,000 to the building and personal property, the release said.
