WATCH NOW: Agassiz School building in Fargo evacuated after report of bomb threat, shot fired
FARGO - Agassiz School building is being evacuated after a bomb threat and a report of a shot fired prompted a lockdown earlier this afternoon.
Parents can pick up students who attend classes at the Agassiz building at South High School, where they are being taken by bus. Parents are asked to enter South High via the 17th Avenue South entrance.
School officials received a bomb threat at about 1:45 p.m. at the building at the corner of University Drive and Ninth Avenue South, Superintendent Rick Buresh said.

Shortly after, police also received a report of a shot fired in the area, and school and police officials initially reacted under the assumption there was a shooter in the area, Buresh said.
Lt. Joel Vettel said police are sweeping the building to make sure there isn't a bomb inside.
During the lockdown, University Drive was closed at Seventh Avenue South, and northbound traffic on 14th Street was being diverted west on Ninth Avenue South, Vettel said. Police were asking people to avoid the area.
Vettel said University Drive will remain closed until at least 4 p.m. from Seventh Avenue South to 13th Avenue South.
