Bismarck man injured when bike rolls on I-94 near MapletonMAPLETON, N.D. – The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 30-year-old Bismarck man was hurt when his motorcycle rolled at about 6 p.m. Monday as he was passing another vehicle on Interstate 94 near Mapleton.
Richard Feist was on his way from Bismarck to Fargo, going 75 to 80 mph in the left lane, when he lost control of the 2008 Harley-Davidson while passing a slower vehicle in the right lane, the patrol said in a news release.
Feist was thrown from the bike. He was taken by F-M Ambulance to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo with non-life threatening injuries, the patrol said. A hospital spokeswoman said Feist did not want his condition released.
Feist was wearing a helmet, the patrol said.
Damage to the bike was estimated at $12,000.
