Fargo man dead after rollover crash in Nelson CountyMcVILLE, N.D. – A 43-year-old Fargo man died at a hospital after being ejected from his pickup truck in a rollover crash Monday night near here, the North Dakota Highway Patrol says.
The man’s name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
The 2012 Ford F-150 pickup was westbound on State Highway 15 at about 9:15 p.m. when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and entered the ditch, the patrol said in a news release.
The pickup went about 300 feet in the ditch before hitting an approach at Nelson County 35, vaulting over the road and landing in the ditch on the other side. The vehicle rolled an undetermined number of times, and the driver was found a short distance from where it came to rest on its wheels, the patrol said.
McVille Ambulance Service transported the driver to Nelson County Health System Hospital in McVille, where he later died.
The crash remains under investigation.
McVille is about 115 miles northwest of Fargo and about 50 miles southeast of Devils Lake.
