Grand Forks woman accused of kneeing Fargo officer in groin
According to charges filed Monday in Cass County District Court, a woman called hotel staff at the Best Western Doublewood Inn concerned about Rebecca Desautel, who was seen accompanying a man she did not know to his room.
When Fargo police officers arrived at the room, Desautel was on the roof, which she had entered through the room’s window, police allege in court records.
Police eventually got Desautel down, and while she was being escorted from the room she allegedly turned towards an officer and kneed him in the groin.
The officer wrote in the criminal complaint that the action caused pain that “lasted for several hours.”
Desautel is charged with simple assault, a Class C felony, and criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor.
