DUI saturation patrols net arrests in Dickinson areaDICKINSON, N.D. – Twelve people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol during saturation patrols Friday and Saturday in the Dickinson area conducted by the Southwest Region of the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Stark County Sheriff’s Office.
As part of the effort, a sobriety checkpoint was set up from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday on the Interstate 94 business loop in Dickinson.
A total of 51 vehicles went through the checkpoint, but no drivers were evaluated for impairment.
During the saturation patrols, officers issued 38 citations and 49 warnings.
In addition to the 12 people arrested for driving under the influence, two people were arrested for driving with suspended licenses, and one person was arrested for possession of marijuana.
