Headley, Romero propel Southern Utah past Bison

FARGO – David Headley and Marcus Romero went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Southern Utah as the Thunderbirds beat North Dakota State 4-1 in a Summit League baseball game Sunday at Newman Outdoor Field.

Tyler Steen had two hits for the Bison (35-13, 11-5 Summit).

NDSU’s lone unearned run came in the seventh inning.

Southern Utah starting pitcher Joe Karlik allowed seven hits over nine innings of work.

The Thunderbirds improve to 15-28, with a Summit League record of 9-6.
